December 22, 2008:
Auton has been recieving all sorts of praise lately for this monster of an album. Here's a few links and clippings.
Textura: "Whether by accident or design, the album's material invokes the music of diverse figures such as Nino Rota (“El Dorado”), Steve Reich (the staccato mallet patterns at the start of “Sagittarius A”), and Pat Metheny; both “Aerikanne,” with its elegant intertwine of dancing piano and vibes melodies augmented by fluid electric guitar lines, and “Orgelkorall,” with its similarly buoyant themes, could easily have come from the pen of the justly-celebrated jazz guitarist."
Gärna i dystra färger. (...) Any Where Out of the World är lätt att ta till sig och har ett avgrundsdjup av stämningar att utforska länge länge."
The album is the 8th best thing of 2008 at digfi.com!
Number ONE record of the year as chosen by It's a trap-contributor Arnulf Koehncke:
"01. Auton - Anywhere out of this world (Structures Sonores)
This record is just so good (which is why my review of it is just so overdue). Incredibly virtuosic yet never overbearing musicians that shift from straight-out jazz to drone to post-rock to Satie-like piano moments with such casualness and grace. My Scandinavian record of the year. Go to the label website now and order copies to give away as christmas presents ;-)"
Musique Machine: 5/5 "Any Where Out Of The World is very nice on the ears but the masterful compositions and arrangements make sure that it's far from shallow easy listening. Ideal music for the dark, wintry nights of this last month of the year too. Music to 'chill' in the best possible sense of the word."

August 25, 2008:

Almost to the day two years after our first release, the Sonores "Elefanten" album, I am finally here to bring you some very good news. Structures Sonores are proud to be able to present a glorious addition to our roster; Auton.
Auton has amazed me ever since I first heard their music back in 2004, when Douglas Holmquist sent me three songs that he had recorded with his friends Rickard Heberling and Petter Samuelsson. Auton was, along with Conduo Orchestra and a few others, really the main reason that made me want to release a compilation of contemporary Swedish music. You'll see this compilation, "While We're Learning to Forget", mentioned below. This CD will perhaps never see the light of day, as the debut album of Auton, called "Any where out of the world" is a so much stronger document of what could be accomplished in the early days of the 21st century in a tiny country up north. It something genuine and heartfelt and to me it is something truly original.
More information shall follow shortly. We're aiming at an early October release date, including a small Swedish tour.

This is Structures Sonores. What started as a way for me, Viktor Sjöberg, to put out limited edition releases of my own work has envolved into a small record label devoted to the documentation of curious and restless music.
The first two releases are in the making, with the first one coming late summer. A third release is planned, but more on that later. The Structures Sonores web site also offers a small shop (which will be fully functioning soon) where our releases will be made available along with other quality products from quality people.
This is incidental music and old paper.
All we need to do is begin rejuvenating: Keep it all in
focus and pursue it faithfully, do it patiently.
With kind regards, Viktor Sjöberg.

VA - "While We're Learning to Forget" compilation CD.
Through the music of a selection of wonderful Swedish artists, "While We're Learning to Forget" tells a story of the process of finding new life beyond the darkness of personal despair. It's a trip.
